The Artificial Naturalist

This image is from Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park.  To reach this spot it is a two and one half mile hike with the last two miles pretty much straight up (OK it was really steep).  For those of  you who do not know me I have both of my knees replaced which I can assure you is not fun.  Being able to reach spots like this (carrying cameras, lenses, and  a tripod) makes it all worthwhile.  Many thanks to the doctors, PAs and PTs who made it possible for me to reach this spot and try to capture the glory of God's creation.  Also many thanks to my best friend (and my wife) who listened to me winge (English for complain) the whole way down.
